Computer - Be Safe Graphics

The clipart images on this page refer primarily to the Nigerian 419 scam. These gifs were created one afternoon after I noticed 5 or 6 variations of the 419 scam found their way through my spam blocking software. It angered me.

I was not mad because I had to delete a few emails but because it reminded me that every day (even though it may seem silly to you and me) people are fooled into getting involved with these scammers and end up with damaged, and in the worst cases, destroyed lives. And it all started simply because they read their email.

Never forget, not everyone is sucked into these scams out of greed, many are sucked in out of need. These criminals will take the last 3 dollars from a person that is trying to raise money for a life saving operation, and be happy they did.

Many are fooled because of sympathy and kindness. My family has been killed, Help Me - My children are dying, Help Me - An evil government is after me, Help Me.

No one deserves to lose everything they have simply because of a kind, caring heart and a trusting nature. Be sure everyone you love knows about the hundreds of variations of the Nigerian 419 and the thousands of other scams.

You must make sure (don't just assume they won't get hooked) they know what to do before they get their first "MY CHILDREN ARE DYING, HELP ME" email scam. Once a criminal gets their hooks into someone you care about, it is hard for them to admit they are being conned, even to you. They could lose everything they have worked for their entire life.
